Do you believe in love at first sight?

LUST at first sight yes... but not love. Love is a choice. Love is a commitment to seeing someone even with their imperfections and praying hard for them and with them.

No. I believe in strong attraction from the first sight. But love means much work, true interest, compromises and sacrifices. The good news - we are capable of choosing to love a person (and often we must).

Lust at first sight, most definitely. Love, no, but I do believe love can grow out of list at first sight.

I am the biggest skeptic of most things so I believe half of what I see and none of what I here so love for the majority of my life was just another four letter word. Not saying that I never thought I cared about anyone, I'm not heartless but question rather or not it was love to today I question because it was never unconditional. There always was a set of sercumstances where I knew that I would feel different if it happened. So I guess I thought about love the same way I still do about respect in which it's earned and not just something that should be given. But I had a friend who was dating a woman stop by my home and he was with brought her best friend with her on that day and to be honest I don't know what they even stopped by for t that day because when she entered my life that day my world stood still and my 💓 skipped a beat. I knew at that moment I just met the person who I want to spend the rest of my life with. In less than a month it will be almost a decade from the day I met my now wife and I remember telling her that I didn't know how or why but I loved her and wanted to marry and spend the rest of my life with her. She laughed it off at the time not realizing me saying these things to her wasn't any pick up line I liked to use or that I was probably as freaked out that I was having the feelings just as much as her probably being freaked by a stranger at the time telling her these things. I also remember her saying that she wouldn't say it back to me until she did love me insinuating that me saying I love her was not genuine buy I knew it was because of the way I felt. I knew it because I would of then now and for the rest of my life would do anything for her no matter the consequences as long as it was in her best interest. Even if I would have to sacrifice from it. And I never felt so strongly that I would do without in order for someone to have something in all the 30 years I had lived. And I realize I never really been in love b4 that day.

Yes I do, despite popular belief that its lust. Love at first sight is a bit of a rarity and carries little to no feelings normally associated with normal attraction.

Since I met my husband in 4th grade, I'll say yes. I was always pulled to him. I liked being in his presence, still do. Finally started dating at 16. I don't view sex like most, I HAVE to have an emotional/mental connection. So no, it was not lust til much later! We're 26 now. We like to think our atoms were near each other when the world was created. So they just knew each other before we did. Yrs later my heart still flips when i see him and he's still my best friend.

A fantasy. You're not going to magically have the perfect relationship. It takes work. Past the first two years, when the "in love" highs wear off.

I do actually. And I only do because I had it. I met my husband and it wasn’t per say love at first sight but it was love at first interaction. It wasn’t lust for me, it was love. The conversation that we had hit a part of me that almost nobody else has ever understood about me. Although I obviously wasn’t in love, I knew I was about to be. We both went home to our family/friends and said we met our future husband/wife. We started to visit each other on weekends (we live four hours apart) and married after four months.

If you don't know anything about that person other than his/her looks, is it love? or is it a physical attraction?

I do believe that you can get very very lucky with your first sight, but how often your first sight of someone gives you sufficient and complete knowledge of that person?

I think, to love is like to have courage, just do it without knowing the cause nor the consequence is certainly an act of bravery, but I often found that it takes more courage to do something after you realised exactly how much that act can cost you, when you understood the true consequence of that decision but still choose to do it, because it is the right thing to do, or because it is what your heart tells you to do, for me, that takes a tremendous amount of courage. That's the leap of faith. How can you take the leap of faith when you know so little about this person, that's not a leap of faith, that's all faith, meaning you have no basic ground to assume anything, other than the attraction you're experiencing.
