Is being too stressed to be interested in sex a real thing? Or just an excuse

Unless satisfied by quickies, sex is typically something that requires patience and focus - at least on the guy’s part. As I’m sure you know, the average male finishes faster than females and balancing pacing to make sure you finish at the same time or at least with the girl finishing first can honestly feel like work when you’re not feeling all romantic and in the mood.

If one person is stressed, then sex will likely just seem like a bit of a chore unless - again - your partner is satisfied with quickies, not finishing, or you are talking about the likes of oral sex where one partner need not do any work whatsoever, in which case, stress can still be a deterrant if the person tends to be more emotionally involved when it comes to sex.

Totally real for me. I just can't turn my brain off enough to give any focus to sex
